Minh Hòa, a freelance photographer born in 1965, embarked on his photography journey in 1989 with film cameras. His profound passion for photography led him to pursue it professionally, allowing him to live and work in harmony with his passion.
Specializing in advertising, portrait, fashion, wedding photography, and unique projects, Minh Hòa has continuously adapted to the evolving landscape of international travel. He focuses on providing fresh perspectives for travel companies, highlighting various locations and cultures. In addition to his work showcasing the architecture, culture, and history of Saigon, he documented significant moments during the COVID-19 pandemic, including a long-term project on Metro Line 1.
Over the years, Minh Hòa has collaborated with many leading fashion magazines in Vietnam, such as Harper’s Bazaar, Golf & Life, and Cosmopolitan, among others. He was also a member of WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) from 2009 to 2010. A notable highlight of his career was having the opportunity to photograph U.S. President Bill Clinton during his official visit to Vietnam in 2000, capturing moments at a meeting with 2,000 Vietnamese-American entrepreneurs at the VICT port.
Minh Hòa’s work is guided by three core principles: Heart, Talent, and Integrity. He believes that “by giving love, you receive smiles” and encourages others to “always look toward the sun, leaving shadows behind.” He emphasizes that “Light is the Teacher of Photography & Cinematography,” underlining the essential role light plays in the art of photography.
