Thuần Võ (Võ Quốc Thuần) is a renowned photographer in Vietnam, particularly outstanding in the field of wildlife photography. With a deep passion for art and a profound love for nature, he expertly captures rare moments and the natural expressions of birds in their habitats. His works present vivid and valuable images of the wild.
Born and raised in Gò Công, Tiền Giang, he began his photography career in 2014. Currently, Thuần Võ is a freelance photographer and also the Business Director of a South Korean pharmaceutical group in Vietnam.
He has undertaken many photography expeditions to wetlands, remote islands, and treacherous mountains, seeking to capture images of rare bird species, many of which are listed in the Red Book. The works of photographer Thuần Võ not only possess artistic value but also raise awareness about environmental protection and wildlife conservation. He frequently shares his knowledge of photography and interesting stories, inspiring the nature-loving community.
His works have won multiple awards and have been published in books, newspapers, and magazines, contributing to the globally released book Birds of Vietnam. His images are regularly showcased at scientific conferences both domestically and internationally, helping to promote the wild beauty of Vietnam. As a long-time collaborator with magazines such as Heritage – Vietnam Airlines, Tuổi trẻ, and Vnexpress, photographer Thuần Võ is also a founding member of the Vietnam Wildlife Photography Club. He actively leads and organizes competitions and exhibitions such as Birdrace and Birdphoto.
What he hopes for is not only to capture beautiful moments of wildlife but also to preserve and share that beauty for future generations, while promoting Vietnam's natural tourism through his unique perspectives.
