Administration tool software allows you to manage multiple ScanFront 400 scanners at a time. You can check the current status of the ScanFront scanners on the network, configure settings, manage users, back-up and restore configuration data.

-Do not power off during a version update.
-Make sure to back up your scanner data before performing a version update, using the ScanFront Administration Tool which you can download by clicking on the Software tab above.
-Do not operate the scanner until the scanner restarts after the version update is completed.
-Version upgrade may take longer when multiple addresses and job data are registered. Please wait and do not turn the power off while displaying that version upgrade is progressing.
<Firmware Update Procedure>
Step 1: Make sure that no one is using the scanner.
Step 2: Use the Canon ScanFront Administration Tool for SF400 and ensure that the [Status] shows [Connection Possible].
Step 3: Click the [Processing] Menu and select [Version Up...] then [Browse], and specify the update file you have downloaded.
Step 4: Click [Open].
Step 5: Confirm the message that appears, read, then click [OK] to perform the version update.
Step 6: Check that the correct version number is displayed, once the update has been completed.
If the firmware version displayed is not the updated version, please start again at step 1 to complete the procedure. If you are still experiencing any issues, please contact us for further assistance.
