Outline of the software
ImageBrowser Wireless Updater is software that will update a previously installed version of ImageBrowser to make wireless connections between IXY DIGITAL WIRELESS / PowerShot SD430 DIGITAL ELPH WIRELESS / DIGITAL IXUS WIRELESS and Macintosh computers.
The following items are included in this software.
- ImageBrowser 5.6.2 Updater
- Wireless Setup Utility (Mac OS X version)
- An updater required for making wireless connections
Also, you need to update the camera's firmware to version 1.1.0.0 before installing this software. (Please refer to the following precautions for details.)
For information on wireless connection settings, refer to the Wireless Setup Guide. (The Wireless Setup Guide can be downloaded from this page.)
Precautions
1. Complete the following operations before installing this software.
1-1. ImageBrowser needs to be installed on your computer from the Solution Disk bundled with the product.
1-2. The camera's firmware needs to be updated to version 1.1.0.0.
To check the camera's current firmware version number, connect the camera to your computer using the USB cable bundled with the camera, and then start CameraWindow. Click [Set to Camera], and then click [Confirms/changes camera settings] to display the window that shows the current firmware version.
For information on the firmware update procedure, refer to Canon's digital camera Web site, "BeBit" (http://www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/BeBit-e.html). Before downloading the firmware update, please be sure to read through the precautions described on BeBit.

2. This software is exclusively for Macintosh featuring PowerPC.
3. This software is exclusively for Mac OS X (10.4).
4. If you are using one of the following EOS DIGITAL cameras, once you install this software, CameraWindow will be no longer available. Please use EOS Utility 1.0 to import images by connecting EOS DIGITAL to the Macintosh, or to use the remote control function. (EOS Utility can be downloaded separately.)

Download and installation
Please refer to the instructions below on how to download and install the software.
The file to be downloaded is saved as a disk-image file.
1. Click the download file at the bottom of this page to start downloading.
2. When the download is finished, the file will self-extract and appear on the desktop.
3. Double-click the downloaded file. A new disk icon with the same name as the downloaded file will be created on the desktop.
4. Double-click the disk icon to open it, and double-click [Update Installer] to start the installer.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Downloading the Wireless Setup Guide and opening the file
The Wireless Setup Guide is a PDF file. If you print out this file, a watermark "Copy" will be printed on each page.
Follow the instructions below to download and open this file.
1. Click the download file at the bottom of this page to start downloading.
If a dialog box to specify the destination of the file appears, specify the file name and the destination, and then click [OK].
2. When the download is finished, double-click the icon of the saved file to open it.
Depending on your computer's settings, the file may open automatically when the download is finished.
